Green light for New Gorbals Housing Associations block of flats
New Gorbals Housing Association has been granted planning permission for an eight-storey block of affordable flats.Located at the junction of Laurieston Road and Crown Street, the 33 apartments consist of 11 one-bed and 22 two-bed properties.Architects at PagePark said the project will form the gateway to the Gorbals from Glasgow city centrePlanners had recommended the application for approval as it went before Glasgow City Council’s planning applications committee meeting last month, but committee members were split over the decision and agreed to delay making a decision to allow further dialogue to take place with the applicant. The application was agreed unanimously last week.
